New York
New York might not come to mind as a place to take long leisurely motorcycle rides, but that is not necessarily the case. Once you get out of the big city, there are miles and miles of places to visit,camping, and not to mention its proximity to other northeast states. 
Summer is the best time to visit the state for riding, during a time with warm temperatures and plenty of events throughout. Winters tend to get cold and lots of snow.
